Public, Private, Secret

Image
They say everyone has a public life, a private life, and a secret life. To me, that brings up the question, how much do you keep from people? I have a very public life. Nick would say that even my private life is public, as I tend to share things that he would prefer I keep private. I'm very open about things, though. I want people to learn from things that I've done. Maybe not make the same mistakes and learn from the experiences that I've had - learn how to do things differently. I've led what can be referred to as a colorful life. Does everyone have a secret life? "They" say we do. What do I keep from people? None of people's business. 😂 If I told, it wouldn't be secret, would it? So what are your thoughts on public life, private life, and secret life? Let's switch the topic to mania. This sort of ties into my public/private life. I'll admit, I'm a bit manic right now, or at least I feel myself crawling up to it. I'm working on gett...

Quality Time with Matthew

On Thursday night, Matthew finally got really good sleep. I'm talking 11 hours worth of really good sleep. His psychologist noticed the difference in his attitude when we met with him on Friday. We talked about how Matthew will be going in for a sleep study and are hoping for some suggestions on how Matthew can get good sleep every night, not just every once in a blue moon. Because it was such a great day, we decided to finish it off making some slime. So I'm posting the steps for all the parents/grandparents reading this who want a simple, fun, non-messy project to do with the kids. Start out with 8 ounces Elmer's washable glue. Pour it into a plastic container. Add some food coloring if you'd like colored slime. I stirred it with a disposable plastic spoon until it was blended well. After your color i...

So I Skipped a Week

Life is busy. Over the 4th, we were up at my sister and brother-in-law's cabin. Matthew always has such fun there. He's a little water kid. Although I did hear about a thousand times "I'm bored" because he couldn't have my phone. He even stirred in the middle of the night and said, "I'm bored." I had to giggle. Here's a few of my favorite pictures of that bored kid from our weekend of the 4th. Laying around before the parade starts. Saluting on a train after the parade. On the boat after our trip to the beach. We had the family campout this past weekend, which I did NOT hear how bored he was, just how hungry he was all the time and how he couldn't wait to eat. Then two seconds later he would lose interest in that hunger when he started swimming and playing with his cousins. He got to know some cousins that he hadn't met before, which was awesome. Mr. Attitude when I pulled him out of the pool the first time. Swimming Tea and Sean pla...
